The Mumbai Metro Railway Corporation’s (MTR) newest model of high-tech ticketing technology, the Flixxo, is a new kind of ticket that lets people buy tickets at a time, rather than have to wait to buy them.
Flixxos are like cashless ticketing machines that use an embedded video camera to process the data of the ticket.
Flixos have the ability to process a ticket from anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.
The technology, however, is not without problems, and a lot of people are still sceptical about it.
Here are 10 things you need to know about Flixo:How do Flixes work?
When the Fliqo is inserted into a ticket machine, it scans the information from the RFID chips embedded in the ticket and processes the data in a few seconds.
That data is then sent to a central server, where it is compared to the existing data in the Flxo database.
The FlixiO software then sends the result back to the ticketing system and calculates the correct price for the ticket that is bought.
What does it mean for the Mumbai Metro?
The Flixs are currently only available in Mumbai and New Delhi.
Flixos are expected to be launched in other Indian cities in the next few months.
What about other countries?
According to an MTR spokesperson, the new technology is expected to have a positive impact on the travel industry, particularly the Mumbai metro.
“This is something we will be doing in the future.
This is a big leap forward and will allow more people to travel with a ticket and a ticket that has a lower transaction cost,” the spokesperson told ET.
