Why the UCLA men’s basketball team will be the best team in NCAA Tournament history
The UCLa women’s basketball program will become the first in the NCAA Tournament to make the NCAA Final Four.
It will be played March 13 in the second round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The program is already in the Sweet 16, but the tournament selection committee is looking for more.
The committee will make the final selection by April 1.
The UCLas second-seeded team, the UConn Huskies, defeated No. 2 seed Baylor 78-72 in the semifinals Friday night in the Big 12 tournament.
UConn leads the conference by one game over the Bears in the overall standings.UConn has won four of five Big 12 games against the Bears, including three in the last four.
The Huskies were ranked No. 1 in the polls at the start of the season.
They won the conference tournament championship by defeating No. 16 seed North Carolina, 75-63, in the championship game.
The Huskies are the second seed in the conference and are the defending champion.UCLA will be in the bracket next week.
The Bruins will face No. 3 seed North Dakota State, No. 5 seed Texas Tech and No. 8 seed Arizona State.
